About Me
I am an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Tyler. My research focuses on political psychology, electoral behavior, campaign and media effects. Specifically, I use surveys and experimental methods to look at negative attitudes in politics and its effects on political behavior.
My current work examines existing measures of political cynicism and advances a new way of measuring the concept, contributing a more nuanced approach to studying political cynicism in an era underscored by partisan polarization. I am also engaged in work on political violence, its causes, and the motive behind targeting political actors.
